Diablo asked us to get the internet talking about their latest release, but gave us a warning: their fans can be massive haters. So with the new game VESSEL OF HATRED being set in a dark, dangerous jungle, we said “okay…well how about giving them a flower delivery service from hell?”
So VASES OF HATRED was born: a service that let you send a bouquet of real, toxic jungle flowers to that special arch-nemesis in your life.
THE WORLD’S MOST DEMONIC BOUQUET
Each plant was handpicked for it’s demonic attributes. From real, toxic jungle flowers to carnivorous plants (filled with dead bugs, ofc) to palms singed by the fires of hell, all nestled into a custom-printed vase inspired by artwork from the game. It was the perfect arrangement to send to your most hated enemy.
CUSTOM WEBSITE/CARD DESIGN
We built a fully custom website that let you pick your ideal target (anyone from your roommate to your in-laws, to that neighbor who lets their dog drop big ones in your yard) and then would generate a diabolic poem to accompany your deadly bouquet.
LAUNCH DAY
There was only one way you could possibly bring Vases of Hatred to all of Mephisto’s greatest haters: by enlisting a 7-foot tall demon to pull them around in a flower cart through the streets of Manhattan.
The internet loved it
We sold out on launch day, and people were so into it that they begged us to drop the Vases of Hatred 3D print file so they could make their own…and then they did. They also put some of the original vases on eBay and even had a few Jesus-y people tell us we were going to hell. (Which…okay yeah that’s probably fair.)
